Every year almost 60,000 people die from dog-mediated rabies – tragically children are greatly over-represented, comprising 40% of fatalities in Asia and Africa.
With the advent of COVID-19, World Rabies Day 2020 has a unique opportunity to effectively share awareness of dog-mediated rabies to a wider audience whose lives may very well be currently impacted by a virus of animal origin.
Vets Beyond Borders is harnessing this opportunity sharing awareness of rabies to its Australian audience and international stakeholders. VBB is creating an Interview Series-style video production to be released on World Rabies Day – 28 September.
