Westside Desexing Clinic
A not-for-profit veterinary clinic providing affordable pet desexing
WCD’s vision is to eliminate unnecessary euthanasia by reducing the number of unwanted cats and kittens entering shelters and pounds.
In the Western Metropolitan region of Melbourne there are approximately 60,000 – 80,000 unowned (stray) cats and 180,000 owned cats. Approximately only 20% of the owned cats are registered with councils and desexed.
VBB is seeking veterinarians and vet nurses to assist WCD in providing low cost desexing services to community members and rescue groups.
This program is suited for volunteers who wish to commit to a regular (weekly/fortnightly/monthly) deployment – although not mandatory.
