VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Duties:

  • providing free vaccinations, microchips, and health checks of pets in need. Local/metropolitan events are usually single-day events, and rural/remote events will be over a few days.

Provided:

  • Accommodation, meals, and transport for regional trips.
  • Lunch for the single day-events.
  • Designated on-site coordinator
  • VBB shirt
  • Consumables and facilities required to undertake the work
  • Insurances: professional indemnity (by VBB), volunteer workers cover (by RSPCA-NSW), public liability (by VBB & RSPCA-NSW)

Indigenous Community Companion Animal Health Program

DEPLOYMENT FULL

RSPCA NSW’s Indigenous Community Animal Health Program, a partnership with NSW Health
Aboriginal Environmental Health Unit, provides essential veterinary services to Indigenous
communities in regional and remote NSW. We work from a One Health-One Welfare perspective
and aim to work with community to improve the health, well-being and safety of community and
their companion animals.

RSPCA NSW seeks a surgical veterinary volunteering team from VBB.

Provided:

  • Accommodation, transport, and meals
  • Designated on-site coordinator
  • VBB shirt
  • Consumables and facilities required to undertake the work
  • Insurances: professional indemnity (by VBB), volunteer workers cover (by RSPCA-NSW), public liability (by VBB & RSPCA-NSW)

Volunteering with us means not having to worry about the little things. Working with our partners, we ensure that your needs are catered for so you can focus on the tasks at hand –  providing vital veterinary care to animals in need.

At this program, volunteers will be provided:

  • Food and drink (for full day deployments)
  • Accommodation and transport (for the trips)
  • COVID Safe Plans as necessary
  • Consumables and facilities required to undertake the work
  • A team leader directing the flow of the day
  • Insurances: professional indemnity (by VBB), volunteer workers cover (by RSPCA NSW), public liability (by VBB & RSPCA NSW)
