VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Vets needed at the AWL-QLD Community Veterinary Clinics to assist in the desexing of dogs and cats coming from local and regional shelters.

Dates: 14-15 OCT, 28-29 OCT

Duties: desexing of dogs and cats only.

Location: Brisbane and Gold Coast

Provided:

  • Designated veterinarian to be your on-site coordinator
  • All facilities, supplies, and consumables to undertake the work
  • VBB shirt
  • Insurances: professional indemnity (by VBB), volunteer workers cover (by AWL-QLD), public liability (by VBB & AWL-QLD)

This deployment is now complete, and will return shortly.

Vets and vet nurses will be working alongside the Thursday Island Animal Support Group and the Torres Shire Council, in partnership with AWL-QLD for dog population management.

Duties: desexing of dogs and cats only.

Provided:

  • Flights to and from the project
  • Accommodation
  • Designated veterinarian team leader
  • All facilities, supplies, and consumables to undertake the work
  • VBB scrub shirt
  • Insurances: professional indemnity (by VBB), volunteer workers cover (by AWL-QLD), public liability (by VBB & AWL-QLD)
